Well, it's been a while, but I finally got another airport equipped with jetways. I was getting several inquiries in my previous projects about how to install the custom flight plans I include in each project. Some folks had no idea how to use Traffic Tools. This was unacceptable, as I feel Traffic Tools and Afcad are the most powerful tools for FS9; they add so much more to it. Soooo, I decided to write a series of tutorials on how to work with the Traffic Tools files. That's why I haven't been heard from for a couple of weeks or so. But now I'm back, so please take the time to read the following information.

NOTE NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS!!!!
---------------------------
I recently graduated from dialup to DSL. I don't know if that's a good thing or not though, because I think I'm filling up my hard drive downloading all those huge files I could only dream of downloading before!!! Anyway, I had to change ISP's because of the deal, so please note my new address at the end of this file!

IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE BEGINNING
--------------------------------
Once again, the default terminal was not nearly ample in size for the amount of parking required, so it has been excluded and a new one created in its place. Also, I had to increase the size of the ramp quite a bit to accomodate the new terminal. The majority of parking for this project is for Southwest Airlines and ATA (American TransAir). And please do not e-mail me and tell me the parking is all wrong or the terminal is not accurate. I did the best I could, seeing as how the information I found for Midway was conflicting. I found two different terminal designs and two different terminal assignments for the airlines, so I just did the best I could. Also, I just made some generic parking for GA aircraft. You are welcome to create your own GA flight plans if you would like. I did not include any in my custom flight plans. One other note before we proceed- When testing the finished product I noticed that the commuter aircraft would take off from Runway 31R. Well, there's a very sharp turn from the hold short position onto the runway here; I noticed that the aircraft overturn to the right and then turn back to the left when positioning themselves on the runway for takeoff. I tried adjusting the nodes in Afcad to prevent this, but didn't have much luck. If anyone would like to have a go at it, be my guest. The larger aircraft always took off from Runway 31C, so they didn't have this problem.

OK, let's get on with the installation!

HOW DO I INSTALL THESE FILES?
-----------------------------------
Extract everything in this zip archive to a temporary folder, making sure that "Use Folder Names" is checked in the WinZip dialog box. There you will find a folder entitled "KMDW Scenery". Within this folder you will find the following files:
-----------------------------------------
AF2_KMDW.bgl
KMDW Jetways.bgl
KMDW Jetways.xcl
KMDW_EX1.bgl

Move the following files to your FS9\Addon Scenery\PF FS2004 Jetways folder:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
KMDW Jetways.bgl
KMDW Jetways.xcl
KMDW_EX1.bgl

Move the following file to your FS9\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
AF2_KMDW.bgl

If any other KMDW Afcad2 file already resides in your FS9\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder you will need to either overwrite it or, if it is named differently, remove it.

That's all it takes! The next time you start FS9 you will see your new jetways at KHOU and your aircraft will be properly positioned at their gates.

WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS KMDW FLIGHT PLANS.TXT FILE I FOUND IN MY TEMPORARY FOLDER?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open it up and you will find all of the information you need there.
